Langara College - Student Union Building

The Langara Student Union Building is a LEED Gold project situated between two existing buildings to limit its imposition — and rather facilitate access to — the main student quad.

LEED GOLD

As a circulation device, the building provides a sheltered, 24hr-accessible route from the north to central outdoor spaces on campus. The unimposing structure recedes towards the built campus – leaving the lawn quad open to outdoor activities and events. Designed as a dynamic hub for student life and student interaction, the Student Union building houses a student lounge, a restaurant, two cafés, dance and yoga studio, student group offices, Student Union boardroom and offices.

Project was completed by Luc Bouliane as Design Lead with Teeple Architects in Toronto.
