The "Project Library", a moniker coined by the Toronto publication DesignLines, is a custom feature wall and library designed for a Toronto-based writer and design magazine editor.
With a unique tapered shape designed to fit in seamlessly with the existing architecture, the amount of book storage was maximised without compromising on the overall aesthetic.
The design became an architectural intervention – structural work and all – designed to connect the ground floor (with window bench, enclosed storage, library and ladder) to their mezzanine where the library becomes a quiet reading area adjacent to the study.
