The dramatic form is a result of many architectural gestures that answer to its surroundings. The third and fourth floor addition angles to maximize views to the CN Tower as well as towards Queen Street. The roof then responds to the roof lines of adjacent buildings such as the church across the street. The copper material of the addition also creates a contrast from the existing brick building. The interior of the building is renovated to be flexible and open. The project is designed as an accessible residence as well as open event space for large and intimate gatherings.
