Shopify New York
Located in the heart of New York City, the recently opened Shopify Hub is home to New York’s budding and established merchants. Designed to amplify the city’s entrepreneurial spirit, the Hub offers a shared space for merchants and Shopifolk to meet, for business owners to collaborate, and for the community at large to learn and connect.
Our design for Shopify’s Hub features a variety of spaces including merchant pop-up retail, a café, co-working spaces, presentation areas, and professional-grade studios for photography and podcast recording.
The Hub’s interior celebrates the heritage of the space by highlighting the clerestory and arched windows within the main double height volume to act as a gateway for natural light. Metal screens, wood finishes, accent lighting and plants nicely complement the building’s existing brick structure and exposed walls to create a radiant, welcoming atmosphere for working, learning and collaboration.
Merchants can access a network of purpose-built, IT and AV-supported resources:
Join or host tech workshops and hands-on learning sessions in the two-storey atrium
Attend or book the event space for product launches, demos, and community gatherings
Feature their products in a rotating pop-up shop
Meet 1:1 with Shopify Gurus at integrated support stations
Record content in a podcast studio
Capture product shots in a dedicated photo room
